Staff and Wand Build Setup for Throne and Liberty
In this section, we will provide an overview of the key elements of the build, including stats, passives, skills, and equipment.
Stats
The primary stat for the Staff and Wand build is Intelligence. This stat enhances the damage output of the Staff and Wand weapons, as well as improving Mana regeneration, maximum mana, and cooldown reduction. These improvements allow for more frequent and reliable casting. Dexterity is also a useful stat as it improves Crit Chance.
Weapons
For the main-hand weapon, we recommend using a Staff, while the off-hand weapon should be a Wand or Tome. Both weapons complement each other well, as they can be used effectively at range. The Staff offers a wider range of damage skills, so you will likely have more Staff spells equipped compared to Wand/Tome spells. However, Wand/Tome also provides several powerful damage spells that apply debuffs, enhancing overall damage output. More information on specific Skills/Spells can be found below.
Equipment
When leveling up this build, gear is not a major concern. Gear becomes more important after reaching level 50. Therefore, focus on equipping whatever you find and prioritize leveling up your skills.
Passives
We utilize a total of six Staff passives and only two Wand/Tome passives. The goal is to maximize damage output for the Staff and Wand/Tome Mage Build in Throne and Liberty. These passives are selected to make the build as aggressive as possible. Synergies between passives and skills are explained below.
Skills and Passives Upgrade Priority
Upgrading Skills and Passives in the correct order significantly improves combat effectiveness in Throne and Liberty. However, it can be time-consuming as you need "Growth Stones" for upgrades, and obtaining higher quality stones can be challenging. Therefore, it is crucial to plan ahead and prioritize which skills to upgrade first.
How to Play the Staff & Wand Mage DPS Build
Now that we have covered the creation of the Staff and Wand & Tome build for Throne and Liberty, let's discuss the best strategies to maximize its potential, including combos and general tips.
Staff & Wand Build Combos
While it is possible to play the Staff & Wand build casually by using random skills or repeatedly spamming the same skill, skilled players can optimize their damage output by utilizing specific skill and passive combinations. These combinations, known as combos, can significantly enhance the final damage output of each skill.
